About the studio

For more than 30 years, we have been specializing in projects of demanding scope and complexity in the Czech Republic and beyond. We operate in Slovakia and Canada, have long worked with foreign studios as local architects and are always looking for opportunities to expand into other countries.

Our projects are characterized by authentic architecture with a strong artistic concept, but the spatial, social and economic context of the design is equally important to us. In this complexity lies the essence of the studio’s vision.

The pillars,
on which we stand

Martin Krupauer

Through Martin, we are also significantly involved in the public debate and the development of the territory. In addition to architecture, he also focuses on visions and strategies for the transformation of transition areas and brownfields in the Czech Republic and beyond. He was a member of the Prague City Commission for the new metropolitan plan 2017.

He is currently leading a team preparing the construction of the Vltava Philharmonic in Prague, Prague’s first major cultural building in 100 years. With projects such as the revitalization of cities, their neighborhoods or campuses, he confirms the studio’s interdisciplinary practice.

The Creative Process

Our work is based on both creativity and craft. On the creative process from the whole, to the detail. An essential part of our working process is the creation of models, mock-ups and designs from various materials. Working with the model allows us to work better with space, shape and details.

ART

We pride ourselves on the quality and functionality of our buildings. However, their artistic value is equally important to us.

Professionalism

The designs and constructions we have been involved in are proven over the years. To ensure that projects run smoothly, we have not only architects on our team, but also experts in selected design professions. We consult with experts in many specialties on issues.

International cooperation

Working abroad or cooperating with foreign architects is important for us. Thanks to this, we have the opportunity to participate in projects from all over the world and work with names like Jean Nouvel, Frank Gehry and Sou Fujimoto. Our team, which also includes foreign architects and students, ensures that our designs are not bound by trends in Czech architecture.

Innovation

In our work, we look for and use our own products and design processes and solutions. Modern technology is important to us, so we use it both in our own design process and in our construction projects.
