About the project

The Sequoia office building addresses a complex area between the busiest traffic intersection in the Czech Republic and Krčský les. The dynamic cascading structure blends into its surroundings and the building cleverly connects to other new developments, such as Roztyly Plaza, that have been built in the changing area in recent years.

Our aim was to design the house to look elegant and light, but at the same time to have a distinctly memorable face that welcomes visitors as they come and go. Therefore, it is white, rationally unambiguous in form and the front façade is cascaded over the entrance walkway. We took inspiration from the majesty of the redwoods. The house is a kind of wall - it frames the newly emerging park and quality public space as well as the nearby Prague ring road. It was also very important to us that it was easy for people to work in. Inside, it is therefore uncomplicated and straightforwardly organised.
