The four apartment buildings are set within an existing residential fabric, adjoining apartment blocks on one side and stepping down to the scale of family houses to the south. The design therefore works with simple, calm architecture that naturally complements the character of the surroundings without creating an unnecessarily strong contrast.

The unified expression of the buildings is supported by white façades with thin-layer ETICS render and timber windows finished with a white glaze. The ensemble appears compact and restrained, creating a natural transition between the different types of surrounding development.

Massing and Spatial Design

The three-storey apartment buildings are based on the simple form of a cube and have one underground level with parking. The third above-ground storey is set back. The staircase and entrance are accentuated in the volume of each building. All four buildings share the same floor-plan shape and dimensions.

Balconies and terraces overlooking the greenery are located on the western façade. The northern and southern façades are articulated by sets of four windows. The roofs are flat. A stepped parapet counteracts the predominant horizontal lines of the buildings while also concealing the lift overrun.

Materials

The façades of the buildings are finished in white thin-layer ETICS render. The timber windows are finished with a white glaze.
