Svatava, a place with a rich industrial and mining history, is undergoing a fundamental transformation into a self-sufficient and vibrant settlement. Our urban study builds on the strong identity of the place and at the same time outlines its new future. The design reflects current approaches to planning – we emphasize the principles of a compact city, multifunctional use, sustainable mobility, and the integration of blue and green infrastructure.

The revitalized town center is coming to life with new functions and naturally connects the individual parts of the community. The former spinning mill is being transformed into a cultural and work complex, with an increase in quality housing and public spaces. The return of the river to the life of the community and the symbolic and physical connection of the two banks play a key role – places that were once separated are now united by one clear vision: to live by the river, live with the river, and rediscover the heart of the entire settlement.
