This Šumava patisserie is named after a traditional local dessert, prepared here to a modern recipe. This concept also informs the brand design, created by the graphic and design studio Bechynský.

The brand identity is built on a combination of the traditional and the innovative. It links the familiar visual language of a classic patisserie with a fresh, youthful and modern approach.

Exposed Technical Character

The ceiling remains exposed, with visible building services. Sprayed in a pink shade, they soften the harder lines of the interior.

The graphic design by studio Bechynský is also reflected in the illustrations on the patisserie’s walls, linking the brand’s visual identity with the physical space.

Graphics Translated into the Interior

Soft pastel tones, traditionally associated with patisseries, are combined with a black modern logo and slightly pop-art illustrations. The same principle became the starting point for translating the graphic concept into the interior.

The main furnishing elements are welded from black steel box sections. Combined with white expanded metal and acoustic slats, they create a contrast with the pastel colours of the boxes, wrapping papers and promotional materials displayed behind the counter.

Traditionally shaped chairs by TON in pastel shades reflect the brand’s colour scheme, and retro floor tiles complete an atmosphere based on the contrast between old and new.
