PRIOR is located in close proximity to the historic core of Trenčín, between Vajanského and Palackého streets. The building currently exists as a freestanding structure situated near the historical street frontage. The proposal includes an extension toward the northwest, filling in a gap in the urban fabric and allowing the new volume to seamlessly connect to the historic street line.

The building is undergoing a change in function. What was once a department store is being transformed into a residential building, while retaining commercial use on the ground floor. The first floor features retail units of varying sizes, with entrances from Vajanského Street and from a pedestrian passage leading to the river, adjacent to the Laugarício building. The upper floors are dedicated to residential use and are divided into two volumes surrounding a central courtyard. There are four main entrances for residents — two from the pedestrian zone on Vajanského Street and two from Palackého Street.

The roof will feature green areas in the form of private terraces accessible from the top-floor apartments, as well as a shared rooftop terrace for all residents of the building, offering views of the Trenčín Castle and the historic city center.
