About the project

An exceptional place on the square, connecting three parts of the city with its passages on three levels (square, residential area, spa park). This unique connection, with its synergy, generates the necessary “density of relations” of energy of potential customers of the centre. This is further enhanced by the “sandwich” location of the car parks (underground and on the roof) and the accompanying functions of the centre (multiplex, dance hall, etc…). The building is crossed longitudinally by the arcade, a new covered street with full overhead daylighting, connecting the neighbourhood on three levels and allowing pedestrian connectivity. The masses respond to the historic part of the city and do not neglect the newer construction. Towards the park, the dialogue of the facades is a system of tree-shaped wooden grids covered with climbing greenery, the aim being to create a kind of park “upright”. The façade panels are of two types, smooth and textured, used in the parterre and on the cornice. The building’s surroundings are complemented by a series of sculptures along the pavement on the east side and greenery.
