The proposed basketball hall is located by the embankment of the left bank of the Vltava River within walking distance of the historic centre of České Budějovice. The form of the building follows the shape of the specifically bevelled trusses overhanging the hall and visually divides the whole into two objects according to their function – the basketball hall and the entrance area. The façade is designed with bent sheet metal with dominant elements of atypical windows. The backstage is three-storeyed and has an outdoor basketball court on its roof. On the second floor there is a 32×19 m playing area with a capacity of 399 spectators. The playing area is multifunctional. The northern grandstand is constructed of telescopic modules which, when retracted, turn the playing area into two volleyball courts with one grandstand.

The hall also serves as an exhibition space. Directly from the hall it is possible to go outside to the so-called beer yard, the garden of the planned adjacent restaurant overlooking the river. During exhibitions, this exit can be considered as the main entrance.
